not quite sure how to play it. i was left with really crappy starters after the draft (Prior, Harden, Halladay, Mulder, Clement, ok not crappy, but not nearly as good as everyone elses)
my question is, how muh would i be hurt to trasde away starters for releivers and hitters. i am pretty strong there anyways, but with somer DLed players (Bonds, Berkman) it could be slow for a while
would it hurt me to have 3 empty SP slots or be worth it? i need help

I'm not sure that punting categories going into the year is such a good idea. What if those guys catch fire at the beginning? It's a long year and if they don't you can think about punting then, even in H2H IMO. A roster would help, and a move to the appropriate forum.
if your league doesn't have a min IP limit or something like that, by all means punt the starting pitcher cats and win stuff like k/9, k/bb, saves, appearances, etc. if you can split the pitching cats each week and do great in the hitting ones, you should do very well.

3 empty SP slots? I say drop some of your bench hitters, and get some pitching. Your bench hitters never help you, your bench pitchers help you as much as your starting pitchers, just rotate them.
