My Post Draft Strategy. Is This Crazy?

Im in an 8 team yahoo 5x5 league. My draft went pretty well in my opinion with my team being very offense oriented and my pitching staff composed of potential comebacks, injury concerns, and overall question marks. Here is my Roster as it is now.

C - Javy Lopez
1B- David Ortiz
2B- Marcus Giles (Juan Uribe)
SS- Derek Jeter
3B- Alex Rodriguez
RF- Brian Giles (Austin Kearns)
CF- Aaron Rowand (Andruw Jones)
LF- Reggie Sangers (Lance Berkman)
Util- Adrian Beltre
Util- Travis Hafner

SP- Mark Mulder
SP- Mike Mussina
SP- Kerry Wood
SP- Carl Pavano
RP- G. Mota
RP- Danny Graves
RP- Octavio Dotel (Latroy Hawkins)
P- Brad Penny
P- Matt Morris
P- Jake Westbrook

My outfield although lacking a true stud is pretty deep, especially when Berkman comes back. My plan is to use one offesive player to greatly boost my pitching staff.

My plan: Trade either Ortiz or Beltre straight up for a stud pitcher like Schilling or Schmidt. Replace them in the lineup with Andruw Jones. Then package two of my semi/potential studs (Mussina & Penny) for one legit stud such as Ben Sheets. Then try and make do with the closers I have, searching the waivers for up and coming closers etc.

Is this a good plan, Ill be able to solidify my rotation at the expense of really only one bat and one middle-tier arm.

Nope I say Stick with what you got or maybe trade for one stud closer offense IMO is always the way to go because batters tend to put up the same numbers every year where as pitchers fluxuate a lot more unless it one of a rare few that put up the same numbers consistently

You could trade Ortiz for a BIG name SP and insert Hafner. I just don't trust established pitchers as much as est. hitters if you know what I mean. JUst an option. But, something I would consider.

I think A.Jones will have a good year and should not be on your bench. I think Beltre will have a huge year too though. Regardless, trade a good hitter for a stud (maybe package another decent SP with them) and put Jones in your lineup.

I would laugh at you if you offered me Mussina and Penny for Sheets.

2 for 1 trades are usually pretty suspect to begin with, but espcially so in an 8 man league where the extra roster spot that the other guy would be sacrificing could be used on a young, speculative pitcher who could end up producing as well as Moose or Penny

I really wanna make a move but im confused as to what I should do. I know i need SP and/or RP but I dont know who to targert. Beltre and Ortiz are obvious choices because Hafner and A-Rod can easily fit into their vacant spots.
