is my offense good enough to give up on SS?

I think my offense is good enough to live with my crappy ss but how much help do i need in my rotation. I believe it can hang strong in a 11 team roto league. what do you guys think?

Trade Damon for a SS. Damon had a career year last year so get more than he is worth this year before the season starts. Then put Pat Burrell back into your starting lineup. He will be a top 50 overall fantasy player this year. Look at his spring training stats. He got his old swing and, more important, his confidence back.

ur kinda low on hr... i might do wat the guy be4 said and offer damon for some good home run guy.. maybe an adam dunn in somekind of package... is pedro feliz, kahil greene, or bobby crosby still available?? if they r they would be better than izturis

none of those SS's are available. This is a keeper league so alot of those guys got drafted in the middle rounds

Your SP's kinda drop after Shmidt.. a lot of those guy's performances this year are questionable. I think Carpenter will have a good year though. I'd worry more about pitching than offense but you also have trade options with one of your OF's or bench players for another SS

I don't know about ss, but you need to make some improvements.
Your team needs some work, in both power and pitching. While Alou was great last year, he's moved to a pitchers park, with no protection and isn't getting any younger.
Personally, I think you should start by trading for an average or bounceback 1b, like either Konerko, Giambi, or Bagwell, using a guy like Mauer or Loretta to get a good 2 for 1 at whatever position you are giving up. Once you have that 1b, you have some flexibility.
From that point, your best asset in a trade is either Huff or Mora, and you might be able to move one of them for a solid ss/sp. (prolly Huff, as many people don't think Mora is the real deal).

As for pitching, I don't know what to tell you. Watch the wire. I'm not high on Carpenter and Wright, and your relief corps isn't anything to right home about. Good luck

For an eleven team I think you did well. If you can swing a deal for Alou for a younger player go for it. By the way are Jason Bay, Burnitz, or Geoff Jenkins or Josh Phelps available in your league? You might be able to snag some home run power from them.
