you never know, but there arent many better players to take a flier on than bonds.

Id hold onto him if I could get him. Im trying to pry him for cheap from his owner in my league now

i'm thinking he's ok just had to get the media off his back. i mean this team if healthy can win the division and may go to the series. it's his last shot so you trying to pry him away could work out.

Barry will play when Stan Conte (team trainer), tells him he is ready to play. All of the other owners who passed on Barry, pay too much attention to the media. No matter whether you like him or not, in fantasy, it's all about numbers. You don't get points for being liked. You don't get points for that in reality baseball either.

Good steal. From what I've read so far, this is the best pick I've seen. Barry will have better numbers than anyone selected in both rounds 9 and 10. I say that without even knowing who was selected there.

Everytime Barry comes to the plate, just smile and enjoy the ride.

I was offered Bonds for my 12th round pick Andruw Jones. I think Jones is going to have a good year, but I heard on ESPN that Bonds is expected back in May. Never liked him but I can't bet against him.

I hate that guy! I hate him! I blah blah blah! ;) Whatever.

I think the 11th round is a great time to grab him. Very risky, but so are many other 11th rounders, some of which aren't even injured. Fantasyland freaked out by a verbal admittance by the Giants OF, but that definitely doesn't mean he won't be back after 6 weeks. He might end up as the steal of your draft.

I just grabbed him in 9th round pick #113. I was choosing between some average pitchers and had my offense all set so I took a chance. I also took a chance with Giambi in round 15 also. I guess no guts no glory :-D .

I took Berkman in rd 15 Bonds in Rd 16 of my 12 team money league ($135) draft last night. A couple people laughed at me, but my response was thanks for the donation to my vacation fund.

That said, I was considering him as early as the 5th, but got the general feeling from the group that no one would take him. I think he is a steal anywhere after round 7 or so.

I got Bonds in Round 12, pick number 124. I don't know whether he'll be back or not, but at that point, it was as good a flyer as I could make, especially where our league uses OBP as a category. (Though I could have kicked myself because Berkman was still on the board and was claimed 4 picks later.) :-?
