Hmmm......trade Helton for young guys and teach them how to pitch in Colorado? Instead of bringing vets because that wont work. I hardly think Randy Johnson would do aweful in Colorado do you?
does anybody give this show any credibility at all?
Reynolds has got to be the stupidest baseball analyst I have ever witnessed in my life.
Absolutely no concept of what the Dodgers or A's are doing based off Win Shares and other sabermetric methods. Since he doesnt understand it, he just calls it wrong. idiot
LOL @ his comment about Bartolo going to sleep for 10 games and still finishing the season with 18 wins. Ya, what an amazing individual effort on his part.
I really have no idea...Colorado is just a bad place to play if you're a pitcher. They had a decent team when they used all mashers. That's what they have to get back to. If they can find any pitcher that can keep the ball in the infield, they would be OK.
But I do think that Andruw Jones does look a little slimmer, and he had a good stroke on both those HR's he hit...
Yeah, it looks like I should have drafted him in one of my leagues.

The thing that stood out to me was when Reynolds said he doesnt buy the theory that Oakland is a small market team. He makes a pretty solid argument regarding geography and population.
Reynolds also ripped Depodesta and the changes the Dodgers have made over the last yr, and I cant help but agree with him - thats not a good team.
As for the Roids/Yankmees/Redsux - they did the obligatory coverage of them at the beginning (or was that on Sportscenter - I forget).
I hope you D-Backs fans are happy...you are going to win the NL West if Bonds doesn't play according to the Krukster.
And Cornbread, I agree on the Dodgers...I didn't want to touch Gagne this year because I feel that they won't be a very good team. They lost dang near all their bats.
(sorry if I offended any D-Back fans...I really have no idea either )

Yeah, but especially with the way that home park plays, you can expect them to play low-scoring games...with decent pitching (it'll be a down year for Dodgers' pitching, IMO...in the future, with Billingsley, Jackson, Miller...watch out NL West) and marginal hitting (addition of Kent and Drew definitely help), you can expect close games. Close games=save opportunities and we know Eric Gagne is money for those.
That being said, K-Rod is a much better value pick than Gagne or Lidge for sure.
As for Colorado, I'm very intrigued to see how Jeff Francis fares there. He's a very impressive pitching prospect. I'd also like to see how Chin-Hui Tsao does closing.

We'll see. I've always been a Beane fan but he pretty much looks a schmuck now. I guess we'll get to see how much of a genius he really is this year. And Depodesta is an idiot. No defense for him.
I love how Kruk talked about LA being one of the toughest HR parks just because he couldn't hit there.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
