your SP needs help...you don't really have any aces. I'm thinking you should trade Konerko and Lieber/Pettitte for a more studly pitcher. Or maybe find someone in desperate need of closers...you have 3 really good ones..and get an SP upgrade in return.

And I don't like Freel or Crosby that much but every team has its weaknesses. Any potential on the FA? It's still a solid offense I think.

I agree.....You need a better Starting Pitcher....Use one of your bench guys to try and lure a trade with someone. You can even give up a closer also to get a sp.

Ok first off I am having the Freel dilemma in another thread in the trade/waiver forum. Will he be on the bench too much? He puts up great numbers but you are relying heavily on him for steals since you have so little speed. I'd look at waivers (for any speed guys really but especially for starting 2b). Burrell is another guy you can prolly drop if there's something good on waivers. Your SP is very rough unfortunately. You can prolly safely drop Marquis and/or Padilla and look for hot pickups on the WW (e.g. Doug Davis, Noah Lowry, John Thomson, etc.). I love Lidge and Cordero will prolly be OK but you need more than that. Maybe just maybe someone like Batista/Hawkins is available. If not you'll need to wait for some situations to change b/c you need at least one more closer.

Of course you are set on power and have a very nice OF just need a little fine-tuning in speed and a good #1/2 SP.

Here's my team btw- http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... p?t=107237

Move one of your 1B for a pitcher - I'd move Thome or Delgado for a Hudson, Oswalt, Ol. Perez, Peavy type. Also, see if Eckstein or Berroa are on WW - either would provide insurance for Crosby and potentially add 20+ sb's. See if you can't get someone to give up Brian Roberts (Balt. 2b) for cheap. I grabbed him in the 20th round, so I doubt he has a lot of value and he should provide 30 sb's and 100+ runs.

Pitching should be much higher on your priority list than steals. Just look for a cheap 20-20 guy like R Sanders who won't kill your other stats. In the H2H format you can win steals with some pretty low weekly totals. The ace problem will loom large each and every week, though. Look for a cheap one like Ol Perez or a guy like Hudson who might take it up another level this season.
