That's pretty funny.

$11,100... I can't believe what people will buy on Ebay. I'm seriously considering selling my 2004 St. Louis Cardinals calendar. There's got to be some schmuck who'll pay me $25 for the thing.

P.T. Barnum said it best:

There's a sucker born every minute.

Hats off to the seller. A decent writer, he fashioned a silly little horror tale in hopes that some dopes on eBay would believe it enough to give him some money. Bet he had no idea he'd pocket $11K for his trouble. Maybe he can get a book or movie deal out of the publicity.

11k bid is fake. He relisted it, the bidder said it was a joke and he has negative feedback. Right now its at $180 :-o

Thanks for the info CubsFan ;-D . I'll still say this though: The PT Barnum quote applies just as much -- to the guy who bid $180.

That right there tells me the whole thing is fake. If any of the story were real, why wouldn't they just take whatever they could get? :-t
