Sleeper Catchers

For sleepers at the C position I have
AJ Pierz (move to chi-sox from pac-bell can only help)
Buck (good power and hopefully avg will improve )
Hill AZ ( good park and it looks like he winning the spot)

I like Koyie too.

I even own him in a league where we have two catchers

I've been able to pick up AJ in 95% of my leagues in the last 5 rounds
he's in a good lineup in a great HR park and he already hits for good avg. his only downside is that he tends to piss off his pitchers

my catcher who is sleeping is A.J.. He doesn't have Bonds in the lineup, but he is in a better overall lineup. He was the main reason why the Giants scored so many runs last year.

i think bonds was a factor, as well.

although he may not be a "sleeper", i think ramon hernandez will pu up numbers far exceeding his draft position.

also, i was very happy not drafting any catcher in both of my leagues until the last few rounds once everyone had one. i'd much rather spend a 20th round pick on someone who will put up 15th round numbers and get a stud OF early than spend a 5th round pick on someone who will put up 7th or 8th round numbers just because of position scarcity. i was able to get my guy (hernandez) in the 20th round of a 10-teamer i'm in because everyone else had a catcher by the 12th and i could just sit back and relax.

I think Closser. He will be in Coors, and even at the end of last year, he was hitting the ball great on the road.
