Are any of the orioles pitchers worth starting?

lopez should have been taken earler, he will have a year similar to last years with around 13-15wins, and around 3.50 era

another O's pitcher that i would take a chance on would be Bedard. He can get u lots of K's and hes having an awsome spring

I agree. Lopez is solid and Bedard has potential, but I say no thanks to Ponson, Cabrera, or whomever is the 5th starter (Chen?Riley?).

i like lopez a lot this year. i may be a little biased though since he won me a big $$ league last year with a cg shutout on the last day of our playoffs. regardless he should be solid. i like dan cabrera a bit as well in the last round or so. he has been having a great spring and has potential. i'd take a flier on him over bedard.

I'm not as high on Lopez as some but do like Bedard as a decent 5th starter. As the O's No.1 Lopez is down to start against Oakland and then the Yankees and the Red Sox twice each before the end of April. Talk about a killer month. Assuming he's not shellshocked, if you sit him in April and then use him from May he may be more productive.

Also his two starts in April vs the Yankees he'll face the Unit.

On the other hand Bedard has a far easier schedule early on as the O's No. 3 starter. Assuming the 5 man rotation stays in tact he'll face Oakland, Tampa Bay, Detroit and then Toronto. Unbelievably he's scheduled to miss the Yankees and the Red Sox completely in four series in April. Could be a very nice spot starter for April at least.

Alot of people will overlook Ponson. But look closely, he had 5 CG and either 1 or 2 Shutouts. Not that he's that special, but you don't have to play him every game. Keep him out of the bars and away from the human element, and you may have a steal.
