I am in a 10 team NL only league with an auction style draft.
It utilizes the following categories: OB%, R, HR, RBI, SB, W, SV, ERA, WHIP and k/9.
I have done relatively well over the past few year using a balanced approach to offense (getting a few studs and a few upside guys) and spending an average to below average amount on pitching(targeting guys with good k/9 and low whips who could break out...last year I had Penny, Peavy, W.Miller...so injuries killed me.)
Any suggestions for strategies this year? There seems to be a lot of good starting pitching (if they can all stay healthy). I would prefer to avoid tanking categories. Hitting/pitching % splits? Good upside low cost pitchers/hitters? Any suggestions?
