Mr. 25

I am having trouble selecting the 25th player for my 5x5 H2H keeper roster. As I stand, I am a second teir team. An easy playoff team, but by no means a favorite.

Here they are.
Jose Capellan
Dewon Brazelton
Brett Myers
Greg Aquino

Aquino would be my 4th RP, something I am not that strong in, but I don't know if or how long he will close. Cap would basically be throwing a spot away for the future, While Brazelton and Myers would be contributers with some upside.

Those are real slim pickings. I personally would go with a rookie who might have decent year then any of the names you mentioned. Someone like Lowry, J.Williams, Haren, Blanton, etc.

BUT if I had to pick from your litter I would pick Greg Aquino b/c he has the closer job (while healthy) and you could use him as trade bait in a package deal.

You have to go with Aquino. Even if he loses his closing job in May (and I think he will), you can use his saves until then, and then drop him for one of the other guys on your list. Or you could try and use him as trade bait to upgrade another position.

All taken. It is a very deep pitcher league, so thats why this selection is important to me. Thanks again for your imput.

i say aquino as well, if he's there though, im sure some other guys with more upside are as well, if youre hurting at SP, watch for guys that are just winning roster spots/rotation that may be available

G Floyd (phi -- only in while padilla is out, but good for a few starts)

K Yabu (oak -- looks like hes getting the 5th spot)
R Bauer (bal - again, probably 5th starter)

keep your eye out for somoene like that, most likely to help, personally Id go with one of the younger ones (young, capuano) who has more upside

yesyesyes. i did a draft and trade with biddle last year as my last pick. worked great and aquino is much better than biddle anyways. (trade was dye & biddle for Carlos lee. sweet!)
