Please I Desperately Need Advice!!!!!

Im in an 8 team 5x5 yahoo league and I want to improve my rotation and/or my bullpen. I have a very good offense so I can afford to lose a top bat for a stud arm any suggestions. Also, if you see any other weaknesses or want to grade it from A-F that would help too. I was thinking of shopping Beltre or Ortiz and one of my SP for a stud closer and a stud SP. of- B- even assuming that berkman comes back. you need lots of help here.

sp- B can use help. need a few studs for for your lesser knowns.
rp- B- need a stud here. they are all second rate although mota and dotel might become top tier.

overall, i really like your infield. you got that pretty much set. the OF is so so, need a few more horses there. your pitching is average. i would look to trade for a horse or two.

don't go for a stud closer. Dotel is one, and Hawkins will do fine. Go for a stud starter as that is your most glaring weakness. By the way, if Berkman comes back yur OF will be good. I like Kearns a lot. I think Beltre for a top notch starter is plausible. I think Beltre is probably not going to match his numbers of last year but some people are really into him. Find those people and deal for them. I'd say you should also look at potential starters who people are down on like Halladay or Beckett. These 2 are capable of being #1's and a lot of people are sleeping on them. Of course, they're risks, but you could potentially get them for a reasonable deal.

Hitting: A-, You have great depth in your lineup, but a lack of stolen bases, especially since I only see Arod stealing around 22 this season. LF is a minor problem, as it may not be worth it to trade for a LF with Berkman on the mend, no need to ship away talent to make a temporary change.

Starting Pitching: B-, you lack a clear stud pitcher to anchor your rotation and have several question marks, Wood's Health, Pavano's adjustment to AL life with the Yankees being the major ones.

Relief Pitching-B, again, lack of a stud, but this time around your depth makes up for it. Having 3-4 solid closers can win you saves without much trouble, you have a good core.

Overall, Ill give you a B+, and this is without prejudice, and with complete honesty.

I would trade Adrian Beltre for a Stud pitcher or maybe Oswlat plus another good one. Something like that. I think he is overrated this year and would trade him before Safeco park exposues him

I would definitely try to trade Hafner or Beltre away for a star closer, seeing the depth you have in your offense. I would think you could at least manage one of the lower studs, like Cordero or Nathan.

Maybe you could try to shop Javy Lopez in the hunt for a pitcher and take a lower catcher from waivers, maybe Barrett or Molina etc... I don't think you'd lose *too* much, and it might help to get your pitching solid.
