The results of the auctions should be interesting. Another site I visit all the time has three of the Mods in Tout Wars. Jason Grey, Rob Leibowitz, and Todd Zola. Grey won in back-to-back years (2002 and 2003) by spending all of his money on hitting and about $20-30 on pitching. Just a little note to the people saying that the 69/31 split favours hitters too much.

I really dont see how this is any better than leaving money on the table. Is it a hard cap, or just a draft imposed cap? I would guess draft imposed, because it was a hard cap and he could use the extra money to pick up more expensive players, it would be utter stupidity to pay $50 for Piniero.
