Any minor leaguers that might make an impact this season?

In my H2H league we have one roster spot for a minor leaguer.

Anyone have any info on a guy that might make an impact at some point this season?

do you mean rookies or minor leaguers

I think guys like Mauer will do well but if you mean the likes of Fielder, DYoung, etc..then I probably not except for Jason Bartlett from Minn.

Most of the studs in the minors wont be called up until later in the season

Yeah it really does depend on whether we are talking rookies like Burke and Iguchi or guys that will start in the minors. The latter group is usually not going to start or be called up until mid-season at the earliest...if then.

Reed definitely fits the rookie mold.

Marte might get a callup if Chipper goes down with an injury, and he's tearing it up.

Prince Fielder, if Overbay gets hurt.

Huston Street, a big maybe, if he's absolutely tearing it up, and Dotel gets traded.

Kendry Morales, if Juan Rivera, and every other Angels' possible DH hitter is slumping.

Kyle Davies, if there's an injury to any of the Braves' starters midseason.

Thanks guys. It does have to be a guy that will start the season in the minors. No rookies that will start on the major league roster unfortunatley.

BJ upton is starting in the minors, i fully expect him to be the best prospect in your minor league draft.

EDIT: oh, and Edwin Jackson was the "cant-miss" SP prospect for the Dodgers last year, he's starting the year in the minors.

For guys that will actually start the year in the minors.

#1. B.J. Upton like has already been stated.

some others in no particular ranking.

Ryan Howard if he doesnt make the 25 man roster I'm not sure exactly what his status and likehood of the opening day roster is.

Edwin Jackson also if he starts the year in the minors.

Prince Fielder. Even if Overbay doesnt get hurt or go horribly cold at the plate the Brewers seem intent on giving Fielder more substantial playing time than a last month call up.

Delmon Young OF D-Rays. Late season call up at best most likely. Still could provide solid punch for a team late in the year.

Joel Guzman SS Dodgers. Probably wont play SS when initially called up but most fantasy providers will set that as his primary position leaving him eligible there. Last month call up at best.

Alot more that could be listed. Basically after Upton and maybe a few others you know are going to get substantail playing time are gone, get whoever you think is the best overall talent.
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."
