Anyone know what's going on?
Everything Ive read has Reed hitting #2. If you have info stating the contrary how recent is it and how reliable is it? If its legit it obviously has large fantasy implications.
NEWS: March 22
Reed might bat second for the Mariners this year, but if so, the lefty will bat only second against right-handed pitchers, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.
Reed has batted second in 14 games this spring, while the other No. 2 option, Randy Winn, has hit second three times. Winn, the early favorite for the two hole, is a switch-hitter, so if he gets the nod, he won't share it with Reed. Reed is hitting .292 with two doubles, two triples and a home run. Batting lower in the order would give him more RBI opportunities, but batting second between Ichiro Suzuki and Adrian Beltre likely will help his OBP.
