As of a couple weeks ago, all reports had Reed in the two slot (read, Suzuki on base 41% of the time in front of you, and Beltre and Sexson behind you to knock you in) with Winn banished to the wasteland of 7thish (read, Raul Ibanez on base 35% of the time in front of you, and Miguel Olivo and Jose Lopez to knock you in )
Now I see some reports with Reed at 7th, Winn at 2nd.
Anyone know what's going on?

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

Everything Ive read has Reed hitting #2. If you have info stating the contrary how recent is it and how reliable is it? If its legit it obviously has large fantasy implications.
I drafted him before I found out about this news. If he bats 7th, is he a droppable player, or do you just have to hope he can still put up numbers like last year?

it was a CBS sportsline link on their Seattle page- maybe it's just really old and they don't update enough- I really don't know how reliable they are, but it made me nervous.
(they may be the same info, as the second page appears to have all CBS stuff)
edit: you'll note that both sites have updated their lineups since I opened the thread, putting Pokey Reese in at SS and the 9-hole instead of Jose Lopez

All I hear is Reed in the 2 hole. Sort of makes me sad and happy, because I have Winn in my auction as a 5th OF, and Reed as a backup center fielder in the 18 team H2H World Series bracket Im in. If he hits in the 2 hole, he was a nice investment in the 14th round.
It says March 22nd at the top, but I wonder if that is when it was really written. Look what they say about Reed...
--CF Jeremy Reed has been all but anointed the new center fielder, and he would need to have a bad spring for the Mariners to go with somebody else in that position. Reed is a high-average hitter who tends to get a lot of doubles in the gaps.
I would say he has had a good spring. Sounds like this was written at the beginning of spring training.
i put this in as an edit, but a couple people posted in between, so i'll repeat it-
