What do you think of Everett? Do you think this will be a breakout season for him or do you expect him to slow down in the near future?

He was a free agent a while back in my league and I saw posts here saying he wouldn't be worth the pick up, so I never claimed him. Someone else ended up picking him up. Dunno if it'll last.

Well he definitely won't keep up his current pace. As long as he stays healthy though, he'll put up good numbers in that lineup. I'd still look to trade him while he's hot.

You must be STUPID if you don't think he can play. Well, that's not how I feel, but apparently he feels that way according to this ESPN article:

I think he's having a great spring but once the weather heats up (and it will in Houston), so will his temper and then watch out!

Uh...Meat. Everett plays in Arlington, not Houston.(ouch)

Anyway, there is no reason for Everett to slow down. He's in a contract year so he's trying to prove what he's worth. He's also hitting in front of Arod, Juan Gonzalez, and Palmeiro, so he will continue to get good pitches to hit. That said I think he will put up somewhere around .300-40-110. If he stays healthy, and right now he seems in better shape then I've ever seen him. (wish I had picked him up.....DANG!)

Carl Everett 'broke out' years ago. He has been slumping due to injury and off the field issues for the last couple of years. I don't doubt he can keep it up.

People don't like Everett. They probably told you what a jerk he was and that you shouldn't pick him up because he sucks. They didn't tell you is that he is talented as hell and put up big numbers 3 years in a row before falling from fantasy fame.
