I do not have a problem with either, but generally Cs are not speed guys. Cs give you 15+ homers across the board no matter who you start as a general rule with the exception of Kendall and maybe Estrada. Kendall gets you some SBs but is below avg in power, forcing you to compensate more on that regard with other picks. Nothing wrong with that, but since they are both a push in value, I rather take the HRs and look to squeze some SBs out of a position that I likely will have to put a speed guy into anyway...like 2b, MI or SS...or even the 5th OF. Strictly a preferance on my part. I really do not see a difference in value between the 2 outside of which categories you want the help in.
I'm huge on Kendall this year, but probably because my league counts batter strikeouts, and he never, ever strikes out.
True that Kendall won't help your power numbers, and his 10 or so steals are just gravy, but his average is a huge help in an area where most other catchers will hurt you.
These guys are generally playing for their gloves, not their bats, and that .260 catcher will pull you down more than his 12-15 homers will help you.
I go with Kendall easily. His average really helps considering how much he plays. And with the possibility of him DHing from time to time, he looks even better.
Loduca is Mr. 1st half. Look at his splits over the past few years...he is terrible after the break. Plus, his stadium isn't exactly a hitters' haven.....I know he used to play in LA which also sux for hitters...
Kendall is just more consistent and solid in my opinion.
