Rollins is being asked to put up big SB's this year and the Phillies will finaly be away from Bowa ...
Furcal I believe is in a contract year which always seems to put a bounce in a players step.
I'm going to lean towards getting out from underneath Bowa outweighs Furcal's contract. Plus Furcal worries me a little bit with his alcohol problem, not that it effected his season but you never know.

And how exactly is Rollins overrated?
Both ss are close, but i lean Rollins.
The guy had one great half and people are ranking him right behind Nomar and Young. He was struggling so bad at one point before the all star break last year that the Phillies took him out of the leadoff spot. Half a season doesn't make a player and you should know this.
funny that people say these SS are overrated. yes they are, but beckett is overrated also.
SS are being drafted too high because of position scarcity, and the felling of "oh crap, i dont want to be left with ______" so better reach than be sorry.
I dont even think Beckett is the best SP on his team, as he's never won more than 9 games in a season and will likely be worth less than his WS MVP price tag. i have burnett posting better ratios, more K, and more wins.

You have to look at the reasons for the improvements. Jimmy is no longer prone to the uppercut swing that produced so many popups. He now hits on top of the ball utilizing his speed (maturity). Jimmy is only still 26 pre-peak. He cut his k's down from over 100 for 3 years, to under 75. I don't think he's overrated. Simply a guy adjusting (maturing), who has some pop and speed.

He didn't have one great half, he was great the whole year except for 1 month, and was never taken out of the leadoff slot. He started the year hitting 8th, and in sometime late April, early May took the leadoff spot. He was the leadoff hitter the rest of the year. April was his only bad month, he hit .183 that month. Every other month he hit .280 or higher.
As far as god is concerned, if he starts using an energy consuming kind of blower or electric blanket, I’ll kick his ass too.
