Good looking team overall -- I think you'll really compete this year. I like your big bats (Thome/Tejada) and think that Wells will come back this year, and be closer to his 2003 stats. Santana is great at top of your staff. Not a fan of Durham at all.

Overall, I think for a keeper league you need to get younger and take some risks on some players that will improve through 2005 and be even better for 2006. How many do you keep year-to-year? People like Beltre, Wells, Santana and Tejada are great year-to-year (Thome has some good years left in him too), but why have geezers like Sweeney, Biggio and Brown on your bench. I'd try to get some Bonderman/Haren/Kazmir type pitchers, or some Mench/Rios/Utley/Wright type hitters.

This year we keep 5, last year 3. Next year probally 7

I project this years keepers to be Tejada,Beltre,Santana,Thome,
and either wells or patterson or posednik. Depends which rebounds for the bigger year. I think Posednik is under valued big time as he wins a category all by himself pretty much.

I agree on SPods - Ozzie has already said he plans to run alot with this year's ChiSox team, so he should have a similar number of steals this year. Hopefully he can get his AVG up so he doesn't kill you there.

For this year, I think you've got to look at improving your starting pitching. You could use another stud behind Santana. I'm not sold on Pavano. I think Millwood will bounce back this year, but Willis is inconsistent.

U will be very competitive this yr but im really not sure how u will fare in the future with those old guys but since ur dropping them it doesnt really matter. Maybe get a few younger pitchers?
