Deeeep League, help!

Postby zeeko20 » Sat Mar 26, 2005 3:36 am

It's a very competitve, very deep league. The stat categories are somewhat sabermetrically inclined. I'm not too excited about my team but I don't think it is too terrible either. 22 starting spots is tough! What do you think?

17 teams, 25 man rosters. 12x12 roto. non keeper
Batters: AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, R, RBI, HR, SB, H, BB, K, TB
Pitchers: W, CG, SV, HR, BB, K, GIDP, TB, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9

C Closser
1B Morneau
2B Jimenez
3B McPherson
SS Eckstein
MI E. Alfonzo
LF Manny Ramirez
CF Griffey Jr.
RF Sheffield
OF Jeremy Reed
UTIL Berkman
bench Nick Johnson
bench LaRoche
bench Pickering

SP Pedro
SP Vasquez
SP Greinke
SP Dontrelle Willis
SP K Brown
RP Looper
RP Donnelly
RP Marte
RP Reitsma
RP Quantril
P Byrd

My saves are bad, maybe I can find some along the way. I know I have quite a few risky guys. Any ideas for strategies considering the stat categories/league size? Comments on the team?

your team

for a seventeen team league i like your lineup, you have 5 guys who are quality starters in any league if dontrelle comes through and you have a pretty good starting lineup although you could use some more depth. i dont think that alfonzo will be playing as much this year with the emergence of pedro feliz, but i might try to package one of your starters and alfonzo for a decent reliever. i also might cut one of your current relievers (with the exception of looper) for some more depth on offense, as some of your starters could pay off big or blow up in your face. other than that, for a seventeen team league id say that your team looks pretty good
