My first draft:

C V. Martínez
1B D. Young
2B J. Reyes
3B P. Polanco
SS O. Cabrera
OF C. Crawford
OF S. Podsednik
OF M. Lawton
Util C. Crisp
BN L. Walker
BN D. McPherson
BN J. Phillips
SP J. Schmidt
SP C. Pavano
RP B. Wagner
RP G. Aquino
P A. Burnett
P B. Radke
P A. Eaton
BN T. Gordon
BN D. Lowe

I'm about to drop Gordon because Urbina is a FA and I'm hoping he lands a CL job in a trade.

Any thoughts as to where I need to make some moves?

You have got a ton of team speed!! To me it looks like you can strengthen in the power department, particularly at the corner infield spots.

For your first draft, your team looks pretty good. How many teams in the league?

As for the Gordon/Uggie question, go ahead and do it, won't hurt to have him, but to me there always seems to be a risk with Urbina. And Gordon might be valuable if your league counts holds.

Well it looks like you need a lot more power than you have. With Pods and Crawford you'll win the steals and speed cats, but you don't have a lot of power. I'd try to deal one of those guys for more power. I question Dmitri and Crisp in your starting lineup as well. Maybe try to trade for power to fill one of those spots. I could be wrong though, so wait for more responses. Good luck and please help me if you can! Thanks. ;-D

Well honestly, I think you're in a bit of trouble. As it stands you're offense is built around winning only one category, which creates a rather difficult situation to extricate one's self from. You definitely need to make some trades to get some HR, RBI, but the problem is that there is presently very little to build on in those categories on your roster. It will take multiple trades to get any respectability.

I would start with a trade of Podsednik and Polanco (presented as a 2B) for a 3B upgrade and an OF power hitter.

Here's a start, though I've got a few trades dangling:

I dropped Phillips and picked up Burnitz for some power (he was a FA) -- benching Coco Crisp,
