I Think Mulder Is Better Than Ever This Year

Postby YankFan51 » Wed May 07, 2003 11:34 am

I had a hunch he might "break out" this year, like Zito did last season. The way he's been dominating lately leads me to believe he could be in line for 23 wins this year. I'm so thrilled I traded Colon for him during Mulder's struggles. Thoughts?

My brother, I fully agree. I went w/offense the first three rounds then selected Mulder, Mussina & Milwood w/my first three pitcher selections. I had a gut feeling all would/could have breakout/comeback years.

So far, so good.

Mulder has been simply amazing in his last 3 starts. Who pitches 3 complete games in a row these days??? No one.

He's doing well. Still though, you have to check out the whole season at the end. He pitched pretty dominantly for stretches last year and in 2001 but still hasn't passed Barry Zito in the Oak3.

I think it's closer than people give it credit. Zito goes 1st, 2nd round while Mulder goes 3rd or 4th. I think Mulder could easily outproduce, even though if I had a choice, I'd want Zito.

I'm in a points league that awards big points for complete games and shutouts. Mulder is the stud pitcher of our league so far.

well 2 years ago was his break out year. but this year may be his best year. I mean 3 complete games in a row is as good as it gets.

and check the numbers, he threw 207 pitches in 27 innnings of 1-run baseball. that's awesome; better than maddux even.
