has nothing to do with security. yahoo just allows anyone to view a fantasy baseball plus league:

yes, this will work in any plus league, but OBVIOUSLY IT SHOULDN'T, hence it's a design flaw.

Yahoo wanted to make the Buzz Index, Hot & Not, etc. premium features, so they took out the links to them from all normal leagues. Believe me, if they wanted you to get them without paying, they would not have removed the links.
