good team - I'd look to get rid of all those spare parts on your bench and turn them into solid infielders. You said you have no SS I say you have no infield.
In a nine team league - every player in your infield should be a top nine guy:
lets say for instance:
1B: D Lee - he's fine - I'd give you 8 or 9 on the top 9 list of 1B.
2B: Utley - seems like a sleeper to me - especially with polanco breathing down his neck once bell gets healthy.
what happened to soriano, boone, reyes, loretta, giles, kent, figgins, vidro, castillo, uribe?
3B: AROD, Beltre, Rolen, Huff, Chipper, ramirez, blaylock, figgins, mora, wright, glaus, lowell, boone that's 13 better than dallas....
what made you get mcpherson?
even with util players - you have to take a pick of one of those nine when the seventh or eighth guy goes.
sorry if I seem too critical but I think your infield is your weakness.
In a 16 team league - this team would totallly kick ass - but in a nine team league - you have to have top talent at every position - not this many question marks.
this is my hitters in my 12 team draft I did today:
C: Inge
1B Derrek Lee
2B Figgins
3B Chipper
SS Carlos Guillen
OF Vlad Guerrerro
OF Jim Edmonds
OF Gary Sheffield
UTIL Luis Gonzales(OF ARIZ)/Ibanez/Berroa
my pitching hurt a little for it - but that's the kind of lineup you have to have to win in a short league. I don't believe in sleepers in small leagues unless you did it to bulk up a huge pitching staff. And don't get me wrong your pitching staff is great - but at the expense of your hitting.
I agree with the two previous posts. There's most likely better than McPherson and Utley out there on waivers. Your pitchers totally rock indeed though, nicely done there! Just shore up the infield and you're good to go. Good luck with it and help me if you can!

thanks for this response! I like critical responses! I would rather get a response that really says my weakness than one that only says good team, etc!
