In a points head to head non keeper league. We have one slot for a minor leaguer. So I am looking for a player that will start in the minors & will impact the bigs in 2005. (not a middle reliever or a 4th out fielder). I hear that Zach Duke will spend the 1st month in the minors before joining the rotation- but if I were to take an arm (preferable) I would like one on a team that wins a few more games. Any thoughts?

What about Dallas McPherson? He just got sent down to start the season but could be back up within a couple of weeks. A lot of people had him pegged for an early rookie of the year candidate. He's a power hitting 3rd baseman with big homer (but also big, big strikeout) potential. As for an arm, what about Felix Rodriguez in Seattle?

Brandon McCarthy. I doubt Duke comes up this year, and if he does, it certainly won't be to a winning team. You might also look at Brandon League or Huston Street, both of whom might wind up closing for their respective teams before the year is out.

great names- but Dallas & BJ have already been drafted- I could have had Felix- but this is non keeper & I figured by the time he hit the MLB this year some other Minor leaguer could have contributed more. Not to mention he probably would be on strict pitch counts for a while- this is a points league, a nice whip does nothing for me. Any other thougths? What about Baker from Min. Cain from SF, Astacio from Hou & Germano from SD- not to mention Duke? Or any other names.
