I'm trying to buy him low in a trade but some have voiced concern about his health. How is he doing? What should I expect from him this year? I'm having a really hard time finding updates on him, any help is appreciated.

rotoworld says

Mark Mulder shut out the Nationals for five innings today for his first win of the spring.
Mulder's early spring struggles on top of last year's poor second half took away some of our optimism, but with his velocity fine, he again appears to be safe to draft after pitching well in back-to-back outings.

he shutout the nats in today's game...very good news for mulder's owners. ;-D

people were really concerned about his terrible second half last year. i was concerned too, but 2 good outings from him is nice. :-)

Avid vards fan, here in St Lou. Of course, there is a certain element of 'spin' in local reportings concerning the cards, but everything sounds REALLY good about Mulder this year. Preseason looks great too, whatever that is worth...!
