Cubs radio announcers

Is there a general consensus amongst Cubs fans on whether or not Ron Santo belongs on the radio waves? I have the mlb.com radio subscription, and man alive I think he must be one of the worst color commentators in the majors. I may just be used to the Cincinnati announcers....

If you ever listened to the White Sox announcers, you wouldn't have anything against Santo. Really, Chip Caray is the worst broadcaster in Chicago (Cubs' TV play-by-play), but anything is better than listening to the incredibly boring south-side announcers.

The Sox guys, eh? I'm a Twins fan, so I usually listen to the announcers of whoever the Sox are playing. I'll have to check them out, thanks for the tip

Good point about Chip, he's not very good. Although I do like the addition of Stone. That guy cracks me up. He's as close to Bob Uecker as a TV baseball announcer is going to come.

I watch the Cubbies on WGN and I enjoy Chip Caray. Last year they had Joe Carter with him and he was TOTALLY AWFUL. He was making very obvious points constantly. This year Steve Stone is great and is leaps and bounds better than Carter.
