WHOA...Deja Vu!

Postby The Big Papi » Thu Mar 24, 2005 5:47 pm

I was bored, so I decided to draft another baseball team. Eh I wanted to try another strategy, and I think it worked out pretty well.

Just yesterday I tried basically the same strategy, except I tweaked it a bit.

Anyways I got the 7th pick just like yesterday, and I picked Abreu again.

Here is the team, rating 1-10/strength/weakness/tradeable pieces/ any other comment or advice will be welcome and appreciated.

Strong outfield, with good depth on the bench.

Strong at the corners.

Weak middle infield - this is where you really need to improve. Durham had questionable value IMO even before Bonds went down, and Crosby has a lot to do to convince me that he is a worthy starting SS fantasy-wise, at least this year.

Studly pitching, although I think you could do with one more starter, in case of injury.

As for trades, I'd tout one of your OF around for an upgrade at MI. Any of Lee, Bay & Wilkerson should get you a decent offer.

Overall I give your team an 8 ;-D

thanks guys.

I'll look into moving one of the above mentioned players for IF help. As far as another starter, I was going to pick buehrle, ready to go, it was a done deal. Then my computer froze and I got back in RIGHT after my pick, the computer picked wilkerson for me b/c i had him in front of buehrle in the que. I knew buehrle wouldnt come back to me, and he didnt lol. Ah well, stuff happens.

i think you have a good oppertunity for a SS deal if you were to offer crosby and wilks - both have alot of good press right now and it would not change the makeup of your team. you could probably get a decent middle reliver and garciaparra or furcal, both of those SS would be excellent fits

may concider trading lee as well, i dont think the lineup favors him as much as people think at this point. though he is playing well in spring right now he could bring in some bacon

please give my team a look
