Bavasi was on the local radio program this morning and said Felix is likely pitching Thursday...further confirmation....

Hernandez, as expected, will be called up to start Thursday's game at Detroit, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

The Mariners have a few options to make room for Hernandez, but are likely to send the stuggling Joel Pineiro to Triple-A Tacoma. Hernandez's call-up is about the only thing M's fans have had to look forward to this season. The phenom has had a little problem with walks at Tacoma (48 in 88 innings) and his K:BB ratio has wilted to 2:1 in Triple-A from 3:1 in Double-A and better than 4:1 in Single-A. He might not be the Dwight Gooden some scouts tagged him as early on, but if he consistently throws strikes, the Mariners will be pleased.

I can't belive I have not returned to this thread in over two weeks. I guess there have been so many threads to pick from, but

After all these months, his first three starts have been even better than I could have imagined.
