you guys think hes going to hit 20 + hrs and 30 + steals since when is coco a high rounder..?
if he puts up those numbers hed be a justified 2nd rounder..
i think you guys are pushing it a bit..
hrs totals in the high teens and 25 + sbs are realistic...
None of us said we think he'll do that. We're saying that's his max upside. Most have predicted 15, 25 or so

I said what I thought the guys career year would be...his max.....i would never assume he would achieve that this year.......I was simply stating how I though 30-30 was no way achievable ever.
I don't beleive in people having fluke power years at the age of 24. Typically people build more power as they get older. look at Steve Finley as a great example. Crisp not only hit 15 last year, but he did it in 491 at bats. No reason he can't hit at least 15 over a 600 at bat season.

I have to agree that he is unlikely to be a 30 HR guy. He has the speed for 30 SBs for sure and he has gotten much stronger over the past couple of seasons, but 30 HR is something that even many middle of the order hitters don't quite reach. I like him for 15-18 HRs, which is remarkable given the type of player he was projected to be in the minors.

He won't reach either plateau. In fact, he won't come close. Being in a potent offense doesn't help your home run total, and his stolen base percentage is just awful. A good manager wouldn't even give him 30 stolen base attempts. 20/20? perhaps, but not likely this year.

I actually think that you could make an argument that a potent offense around you could lead to a higher home run total. If you have good players around you, and you are a slightly lesser hitter, there is a good possibility that you will see better pitches, therefore leading to the possibility of more home runs. Keep in mind I agree with your general statement, but I like to argue...and I think what I said does make sense. The thing about it is that I do not think that it would make a large difference. The only reason I even pointed it out was because you just had to point that out of the original statement, when it really didn't have anything to do with the original poster's question. Basically you just wanted to show the guy up a little.
