He's aging and he has a limited hitting zone. Add that to his poor surrounding cast and he won't do much. He should do better in the 2nd half as starting pitchers lose a lot of their stuff from fatigue.
I'd rather have Vernon Wells
I'd much rather have Green than Wells
but if someone offered me Green straight-up for Kearns...well...I don't think I would take it even though conventional wisdom might suggest otherwise

Aging? Hes only 30 lol. Hes underrated. Anybody that can smack 40 hrs playing in LA, is a stud. Put him in a nice park, and your talking a mvp.
home 18 hrs 48 rbis 266 avg

LA is the second worst hitters park in the majors... why do you think there aren't too many fantasy hitters on the dodgers squad.
yes, you put shawn green in coors and he's a much better fantasy player.
i'm not talking about shawn green the hitter i'm talking about shawn green the fantasy player.
sorry for not making it clear but his "age" was more related to his SB potential.

He's too streaky for me. He has a smallish build and plays in one of the biggest parks in the league. When he gets his swing going, sure he can crush the ball with the best of them.
I'd rather have a guy that's still going to muscle one out occasionally when his swing isn't so sweet.
