My Warm-up Team

This is my warm up draft before my big draft coming up next week.

Tried for BA, HR, RBI, and ERA, WHIP, and K's
Everything else is just gravy.

I know with guys like Dunn and Webb, you guys are gonna think I don't know what I'm doing, but I expect Dunn to batt around .270 which isn't quite bad or out of the picture. Webb I hope can shapen up. If he gets his sinker and control going, he could be a breakout pitcher. If not, he's going to the waiver wires.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
This is a standard H2H Yahoo! league w/ 12 players. I had the 11th pick.

The team looks pretty good. Weak in middle infield (not that there are a lot of offensive weapons available there). Your OF is high risk/reward -- all these guys are looking for comeback years. I think Wells will be a 30-20 guy this year, but won't hit above about .280. On that note, your team won't hit for great average -- IRod and Rolen will be over .300, but who else? I just don't see Casey repeating what he did last year.

Pitching looks good - I like Peavy, Sheets and Halladay to front your rotation. I disagree about Webb, but it's a risk you want to take. The Francis kid has a great arm, but I don't see him breaking out this year. Your bullpen looks pretty good (assuming Putz takes over for Guardado).

What I can't seem to figure out is who you used your first 2 picks on. If you took Rolen, I assume it was late in the 1st round which would give you an early second round pick. I'm hoping you didn't waste a #2 pick on Gagne. Anyways, I digress.

At the end of the day, I don't really see this team competing unless all of your hitters end up repeating their career years (and I think Rolen is the only one of the bunch you can count on 100%).
