New to Fantasy ball, how badly does it show??

RP- D. Baez; J. Mesa
P- A. Beckett; J. Burnett; D. Davis; Od. Perez; A. Pettite


How did I fare, 1-10? (ten being stellar!) Anything I should improve on? Thanks for helping a newbie out!

that is a very solid team especially considering it is your first team...if there is anything to improve on, i would say try to upgrade your closers or at least find another one.... pettite would be droppable imo if there is a closer on the waiver wire

Last year i had Jake Peavy on my team, he did alright.

Definitely have issues at closer. Baez will drive you crazy and Mesa won't be much better, but if you can handle the occasional "flare ups", you should still expect 60-70 saves between them.

One thought to consider. You seem to have a fair amount of power. If Adam Dunn is available (which I doubt), you might consider him for utility instead of J. Bay. Bay is just beginning to hit off a tee again AND he strikes out a lot. Dunn strikes out a lot, but he also gets a lot of walks. Since you count OPS, this makes up for a lot of Dunn's shortfall in BA. Fair job, about a 6 out of 1-10. I think you could have done better than Guillen at SS with only 9 teams in the league. The rest of you offense looks good. SP is solid, but you need better RP's than you have in such a small league.
