Postby AT » Wed Mar 23, 2005 10:27 am

C J.D. Closser
C Ramon Hernandez
1B Paul Konerko
1B Phil Nevin
2B Clint Barmes
3B Casey Blake
SS Carlos Guillen
OF Carlos Beltran
OF Miguel Cabrera
OF Gary Sheffield
OF Coco Crisp
SP Josh Beckett
SP Matt Clement
SP Kelvim Escobar
SP Mark Buehrle
SP Jake Westbrook
RP Brad Lidge
RP Francisco Rodriguez
RP Francisco Cordero
RP Chad Cordero
SP/RP Miguel Batista

Any advice on what to do with this team? Obviously I'm heavy at RP and OF. Would you trade Francisco Rodriguez straight up for Oliver Perez? I've been offered that... I'm also trying to acquire Podsednik or Reyes for a closer or an OF... Tad Iguchi is also available on the WW. I Love my K, HR, RBI, SV potential. Any other advice? Opinions? :-)

You have a horrible infield

JD closer
Nevin
barnes
blake
and guillen

are terrible to have all in a 12 team leauge. I would try to package crisp, escobar, one of the cordero's, batista. or even k-rod for some infield help.

I would reccomend small trades like for Jeter, young for SS. Huff, blalock, lowell for 3rd. Hafner or huff for first.

Leave catcher alone because the top names arent going anywhere

Iguchi, Bellhorn, Todd Walker, and Placido Polanco? They're all decent I suppose. Take a look at Barmes' stats and keep in mind he's a young guy playing in Coors field who did have decent numbers last year before just dismissing him for one of the veterans... I keep trying to trade this guy Chad Cordero for Jose Reyes and he won't do it. He demands Francisco Cordero for Reyes straight up. I'm trying to get Reyes and a pitcher like Grienke for F Cordero. I feel like a 2B with speed is what I need since I have a lot of power in this lineup between my 3 OF's and Konerko. Besides, Carlos Guillen should hit 20 plus again.

Yeah Guillen should hit 20 homeruns, but also keep in mind he will only hit for about .240

Yeah he only hit .320 last year. .240 is realistic I guess. Are you kidding me? :-t :-t

Take a look at Guillen's past numbers and couple that with the fact that he already has knee problems and that Maggs, may take up the DH spot.

I am not saying Guillen will suck but the wrighting is on the all for a let down this year.
