I like your team. O Cabrera concerns me a lot...I would try to sell him high. Bagwell concerns me too but I'm sure you got him cheap...hope for the best and trade him if he starts hot. I think you should start Bellhorn over Koskie for the Runs.

I don't like Buehrle's WHIP, BAA, or the 33 homers he gave up last year...I'd trade him when he gets hot. Your other starters look great. Watch Gagne's health closely...closer than the people you need to trade him to if he starts going south. Good luck to you.

You should have invested into more hitting and less pitching.
A lot of 1B went by before you took one.

I would be wary of the following.

Bagwell: When will that shoulder finally give out.
Kent: Moving to LA won't help his power numbers at all.
Williams: Not getting younger or better. I think his premium years are behind him.


Overall you have a nice team. Might want another OFer though. I would try to trade one of your CUBS for another OFer. Also look at picking up another 1B and another pure closer, in a twelve team league everyone should have two closers. If Woods has a couple good starts, I would sell him high. I doubt that he gets 25 starts again.

You seem to have quite a number of POV's on this team. Here are mine...

IRod - What else can you do at Catcher, he's about as good as you're gonna get...

Bagwell - Old, less lineup protection and less runs to drive in and produce. Numbers will go down quickly. If he gets a hot start, trade him.

J. Kent - Another year older, moving to a pitcher's park from a hitter's park and to a weaker lineup with less protection.

A Rod - stud, will be a top 5 player all year.

O Cabrera - I think he blows and will have far weaker numbers than he did playing in Fenway. Besides, he's kind of fat and won't steal bases.

D. Young - Also a little over eager at the buffet table. I think he's barely rosterable. I'd move Koskie to IF and put S. Stewart in Util and bench Young.

Sheff - Should have similar numbers to last year since he seems to be healthy and their lineup is just as good.

T. Hunter - solid guy but would like to see him as your #3 OF not #2 since he hits about .170

Millar - Sucks.
J Jones - Sucks.

Durazo - highly underrated hitter, if he plays you will be happy you have him.

Koskie - sucks but a good bench player.

Very good SP'ing. Go Cubs? Maybe get even value for Kerry Wood if you can since he's the 1 of the 3 that's the biggest question mark. Maybe try for John Smoltz or someone like that who is Starting for a team with a solid lineup so you're less leveraged on the Cubs lineup.

Your bullpen stinks and will be worse when Gagne hits the DL with his knee injury and Hawkins starts blowing more saves than he's earning. Look for Miguel Batista as a FA (TOR CL).
