That's a toughie as I have them pegged in the same strata of quality; however, Blalock - to me - has the bigger upside as he had some rougher months last year and still ended up out-rbi'ing and out-running Ramirez; however, Ramirez (as I was an owner last year) was sooo consistent and brought an amazing average for that amount of power.
Both should get better this year but I like that Texas lineup more for the studs around Blalock and their run-scoring potential. The Cubs, as we remember, scored an innordinate amount of runs last year via the longball (and Ramirez's run totals reflect that) while Texas put up large run totals period.
I think Ramirez comes back to earth some this year in avg with Sosa gone and Blalock improves.
I take Hammerin' Hank.
