How can I improve my newly drafted team???

Look for some bullpen help. Maybe pickup Miguel Batista (TOR CL) if he hasn't been added yet? Also Piniero is hurt right now, I'd drop him and try for a free agent SP, maybe Kazmir or Cliff Lee, someone like that. Oh and Hidalgo sucks nuts. Maybe Nick Swisher? More upside potential and could be available...

In a 5X5 10 team league with the first pick I think you should have come away with some domination in one category at least. Your Offesnse is Ok, your pitching is OK, and your closing is suspect. I was in the same position you were in and came out with a powerful offense and good closers. I think you could use a little help everywhere.

You need a back up cathcer because Mauer is not going to make through the whole season with his knees. Drop finley and look for a better OF or something in a 10 team leauge I am sure Craig wilson is abvailble, also overbay is of no use to you. trade or drop him for a SP.

You have a lot of power-hitting 1B. Maybe you can move one or two for some RP or an OF upgrade.

...you need some help. Agree with Mauer comments and that you need to upgrade OF. With Borowski down and Hawkins stepping in to closer role for the first 6 weeks, you may have inadvertently bought some time. Another thing to think about is speed - in a 10 team league, I have to think most teams have a (relative) bunch of it and you don't. With the exception of two guys (the Roberts boys), you don't have much at all. I think this is where you are hurting the most. When you try to pry away some poistion upgrades, keep speed in mind. Also, I like Hidalgo in Texas. Lots of upside in that park. Good luck.

you got a well rounded team... you are not great in any category but u dont lose out in any category either,...... since u have 4 first baseman,,,see if u can trade thome for either gagne or lidge or a stud SP such as ollie, peavy or czam.....
