Pete Rose

Postby crapshooter » Tue Mar 22, 2005 9:22 am

I was in Vegas last week and Pete Rose was at this place on the strip signing autographs for $50. I started to tell him I'd buy one if he'd sign it that he bet against his team.
It did amaze me that some folks were actually paying for them.
You don't have to like 'em to own 'em!!!!

I'd like to believe that the only people paying $50 for that guy's autograph are those who think they can turn it around and get MORE for it on eBay or something. But sadly, I suspect that most of the people shelling out the money to Charlie HUSTLE are just suckers.

$50 for a Pete Rose autograph? 8-o They all paid $49.50 too much. :-b

Now if he were to autograph a photo of Kane tombstoning him, that might be worth $50. :-?

:-D
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

So what if he bet on baseball. He was the best at what he did when he was on the field.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.
