Jones, he had a good offseason work program with Julio. He is in alot better shape than years past. I think he has finally got serious with his career and is ready to produce the #'s everyone once expected from him.

Ok now I'm a Braves fan also but....to think Andrew put up power numbers much better then Aramis, erasing Aramis's advantage in average....it's jsut stupid.

Aramis last year...

Do those numbers even come close to comparable....?

Not to mention Aramis is younger I believe and has shown improvement while Jones has never had his breakout season people said he would have.

Now Andrew did not exactly have a great year last year, but he's a consistant 35 home run hitter...not much more, besides last year he hit 34 35 and 36 in consecutive years. Also, Andrew's average isn't even relatively close to Aramis who should beat Andrew by atleast 50 points again this year.

Now I will give you this. Andrew should have about 5-10 steals which beats Aramis, but if you consider 5-10 steals and maybe a handful more homers ( I'm being nice here ) better than the few more runs and RBI's Aramis gets and his HUGE advantage in average, be my guest.

The difference in draft position between A-Ram and Andruw vs the difference in expected performance is huge. Going by average draft position Andruw is one hell of a steal. A-Ram is awesome and I'll take him in a second but to scoff at comparisons between him and Andruw is a mistake.

Yes, Jones may be a better value pick, espically if your set in average...though the argument was that he thought Jones would actually put up better numbers then Aramis which, most defiantly isn't true. Personally I'd try to get both. As for age Jones I know that he's young, but usually hitters show more improvement after that many years. In reality though when he's been playing for that long, it's time to stop hoping he'll "breakout". I'm not saying he won't, I'm saying there's a very good chance this is as good as he'll get.
