Now that most of us have at least a couple drafts finished, how many of you have noticed that you have a penchant for picking the same players over and over again?
Who do you have on multiple rosters? Why? Did you intend to pick those players in multiple leagues?
Personally, I keep finding Corey Koskie on my rosters. It's really not intentional, but 3Bs aside from A-Rod seem to be drafted a bit early, IMO, and I'd rather horde undervalued players, even if I go overboard at a few positions (in one Yahoo public league, I've got 6 RPs). And, everybody keep forgetting about Koskie, so why not draft him?
Your wisemen don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick...
If you can delay that Koskie pick until others are sifting through the bits & pieces of junk that remain for their position requirements.
But you must beat them sensless a majority of other positional picks, round by round...which can often be done... it all works all too easily.
Done it...been there.

My .02.
I love to hear the MOANS and GROANS of my competetors when I take their draft pick one round too early.
I've done 3 drafts and all are very similar. I liked my strategy a lot on the 1st draft so I emulated it in the 2nd and 3rd.
I just targeted a couple late round bargain picks. Glaus at 3rd and
Izturiz at SS. I have both in all three teams. I waited late to pick most of my outfield because there are so many. I also took R. Winn and Brian Roberts in all three because they are late picks that can help with steals. And since I followed this structure for all my drafts, my pitching is also pretty close in all three. I was also able to pick up 3 good closers in all 3 draft, none of which are the same though.
Hopefully this strategy works out. Looking at my lineup, it looks like it has. I can't really find a deficiancy. I have steals, Power, Decent pitching. But, you never know until the season starts. If it didn't work, I'm screwed. Here's my best one (I think) if you wanna see

I have Thome on 2 out of 3 teams, which is always good. I keep ending up with Preston Wilson or G. Jenkins, or both. Pitching side I have either Randy Wolf or Brad Penny on my BN every time.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
