Is he part of a platoon with Jay Payton? Can't really find much info on this.

Thanks, I figured I would have found something if that were the case. But I have a guy in one league that insists Trot will be benched in favour of Payton when facing lefties.

Nixon is likely to be rested against Lefties far more often than not. IF he is healthy he is an OK Fnatasy fifth OF who might go 295 25/90. Nothing special but acceptable.

Payton will face lefties whenever the chance comes, although a) there aren't that many around and b) Nixon may still get the odd start covering CF/DH vs lefties still. He's still a good bench player, and it's not as if whether the opposing starter is lefthanded is hard to work out.

At least 1 out of 5 SPs is a lefty I believe, so it is more than you think. Just about every staff in baseball has at least 1 lefty. Some have more.

Trot Nixon is at or near the replacement level for outfielders in a standard yahoo league. He may be a player you stash away on your bench to use in favorable situations, but nothing more than that at the moment imho.
