whoever has been doing better between riske and betancourt. i like betancourt better.

If Wickman goes down or implodes, it will not matter...a committee situation of mediocre relievers like Betancourt and Riske.

Riske, definetly. He will be the closer by June I'm certain.
Has better stuff and better control than Betancourt...last years bad start due problems with the birth of his son, Riske could not focus, but he's back and ready to ball this year.

My info is a couple months old, but during the offseason some Tribe official said Riske would not return to the closer role for Cleveland, even if — perhaps especially if — he's their most effective guy in the pen.
That suggested Wickman's replacement would be Betancourt, Howry or almost anyone else, leaving Riske locked into setup work.
