New at the Cafe. How can I improve this team?

Postby Dan Lambskin » Sun Mar 20, 2005 5:28 pm

Just had my 5X5 10 team roto draft yesterday and concentrated on bats instead of pitching and now it looks like i may have an uphill climb because of it. thoughts? IF my starters stay healthy and my closers pan out i may have a shot. I can pick up two reserves off waivers starting tomorrow

C-Ramon Hernandez
2B-Marcus Giles
3B-Chipper Jones
OF-Shawn Green
OF-Craig Wilson
P-Cliff Lee
P-Mike Adams

Edit: which of these 2 pitchers are worth pickups as reserves?

Not exactly set on Borowski or Inge... but otherwise a great draft for you I'd say. A couple people to keep an eye on such as Wood, Percy and Halladay injury wise but not bad overall I'd say. Post the top available players.

It looks like your offense is pretty good. Good mix of power with some speed. Not too sure about Borowski either, and your starters are definitely injury prone.

Thanks for responding to my post. Offense looks nice though I just don't have faith in Green or Chipper any longer. Pen should get good saves, especially if Borowski is healthy. I'm kind of in the same boat about SP. All I can say is that Thomson should get you solid wins. Haren and Madritsch are looking good this spring. But, it is just spring.

Madristch, Haren, dump Borowski plenty of releivers to choose from.

may want to pick up a third SP from your list 'cause you are going to have problems with Wood

yah well i think that your offense is pretty good, i think morneau is gonna be on fire this year. your pitching though, wow. not toogood. you could probably ship halladay and wood off for for someone that is lower ranked but will actually have awesome years. like oliver perez or rich harden, oswalt. they will be great this year. get rid of borowski hes not the closer, try and see if you can get latroy hawkins he will be. adams will not be too good either especially in milwaukee. but good luck!!!
