I wouldn't scoff off Aquino. I read a scouting report on him in BA's Prospect Handbook and he has good stuff. He's only pitched since 1999, previously being a SS. Thus, he's had to seriously adjust. I suspect he was always a SS before that (in amateur ball). To summarize, his command is an issue, but his mid-80s slider has improved to being a superb out pitch and he has a great fastball in the mid-90s. He can reach triple digits at times, but is better when he works on command.
That being said.......Valverde is probably better, though he's getting lit up. Bruney was always seen as the closer of the future in AZ, though he's been queerly bad.
