Adams/Bottalico

Postby FoolOnTheHill » Sun Mar 20, 2005 4:10 pm

Any updates on how these guys are doing this spring? Both have something to prove so their performances this spring could mean something. I read somewhere that Adams might start off as the set-up guy with Bottalico getting the nod in the 9th.

Whats the news on the BrewCrew pen?

Mike Adams looks like the favorite for saves in Milwaukee right now.

both look good from what i have heard (bottalico had one bad appearance but the rest looked good). its not set in stone but it looks like adams will get the nod. he should be decent enough to keep it for the whole season.

I read somewhere (couldn't tell you where) that Doug Melvin says that Bottalico doesn't have the stuff he used to and it sounded like Adams has a pretty good hold on the job as far as interal candidates go.

Adams' security as closer should speak for itself when Botallico is his competition.

Supposedly Capellan has one heck of an arm. I wouldn't be suprised to see him get a chance at the job down the road.

That said, he is getting torched this spring, and probably will start the year in AAA.

I see Lehr taking over if Adams falters, Botallico is bull.

Adams is safe for now. No way botallico closes unless adams gets hurt, and Lehr gets hurt.
