My last draft of the year...how'd i do?

Well, this was my last draft for this season, and i think i came out pretty well. It's a 10 team 5x5 5keeper league. Since i won the league last season, i had the 10th pick. Numbers after rounds signify the round in which i selected them.

I know the glaring weakness of this team is SP. I was planning on getting SP with my first two picks, but somehow Shef fell to me at the 10th pick and i couldn't pass him up. I realize that i have WAY to many closers, but the other owners in my league overvalue closers to the point where they will over pay for them, so they were drafted just as trade bait once the season starts. I didn't pass any SP's up that i wanted to get them. I think my offense is stacked, with a GREAT mix of power and speed. Plus i think i'll again have a hard time choosing my keepers next year with young potential studs like Vmart and DWright. I'll probably drop Upton after the waiver period ends, and either pick up a more usefull BN player or look for help at SP. J. Pineiro, Adam Eaton, Cliff Lee, and Noah Lowry are FA i'm thinking about picking up once the waiver period ends. Any comments or suggestions on weaknesses i should address? I will gladly rate your team in return. Thanks much.

I would definately look at Noah Lowry once your waiver period is over. Nothing really jumps out as a glaring weakness to me. You definately have enough sticks to deal for a stud starter if the need arises.

pitching is the obvious weakness but you have enough trade bait to make up for that. I agree shef is way too good in the 10th not to pick him. a big stick for an ace pitcher might b worth looking into

Your SP is a little weak, but your offense is incredible. And yes, you will have a hard time choosing keepers next year, unless somehow you could convince your league to change the number of keepers to 8.

Your offense is good to go. Trade for SP and if you get the chance to upgrade at SS or 2B do it. Is Upton going to be called up any time soon?

I think one of your best pick up was Hafner in the 9th. I am really excited about his prospects and he has the potential to increase the keeper dilemna.

Anyway, as had been said SP is your only real weakness. I would pick up Pinero. He is going to bounce back this year, he plays in a somehwat friendly pitcher park and now has a lot more run support. If you don't like Pin, then of the FAs you mentioned I would take Noah Lowry.

Very nice. Your SP is a little weak, but nothing to worry about. Build up some saves and then trade spare part closers for better SP. I wouldn't jump the gun, but do consider trading Aquino and Batista if there are good offers out there. Perhaps package them for a good SP.
