What do you think of my team?

Postby sfgfan4life » Sat Mar 19, 2005 6:45 pm

I've made a few deals since posting here last, so hows it look?

11 teams, Roto, 5x5

C: R.Hernandez
1B: Pujols
2B: Figgins
3B: Blalock
SS: M.Young
CI: D.Young
MI: Lugo
OF: C.Lee, Crawford, L.Gonzalez, Ford, C.Patterson
Util: Hidalgo
BN: Bellhorn, J.Reed, Berkman

(we use 9 pitcher spots, theres no SP or RP, but I listed them that way to make it a little easier to read)

SP: Schmidt, RJ, Burnett
RP: Benitez, Wickman, M.Gonzalez, Brazoban, Linebrink, Donnely
BN: J.Williams, Piñeiro

I didn't have much speed originally, but I think I may have ended up getting a little to much while givein up a little to much pop. I'm mainly looking to aquire a bit more power (but if I can I'd like to aquire one more closer as well). Berkman should help when he gets back, but in the mean time I'm hoping to aquire some power. Any suggestions as to who I should be looking for? (I was thinking maybe someone in the V.Wells, Huff range maybe?).

Any other suggestions/comments?

Beautiful balanced team, great starters and hitting...I think it'd do your team good if you have one of the elite closers, but you should atleast be fine in saves without one. Wickman isn't horrible and Benitez is a good pick. Other than that I see no weaknesses....nice mix of power and speed also ;-D

I agree that another bat like V. Wells would add some nice pop to your lineup, but i think Pujols, Blalock, and C.Lee can supply a fair amount of power. You're speed is great, especially in the outfield with Crawford and Patterson. As for closers i don't know too much about wickman, but i think Benitez will do a good job in sf (he better after the horrible combo of herges/hermanson last year...). You're squad looks pretty darn solid.
