I'll be playing the three best regularly. Who might those be? I'm going with Mench Millar Jones and Mondesi on the roster. Think those are the four best? My ranking is:

I can;t see how Floyd is not clearly #1 on that list. Millar, Jones and Mondesi...this better be an 18 team league to be starting any of those 3 in the OF.

Frank Thomas waits on my bench and I need three other hitters:
I'm thinking Mench JJones(steals) and Millar or Mondesi. But you put Floyd ahead of all four. I've had Floyd do nothing for me for several years now, sometims slumping ridiculously. I see Mondesi and Mench as more upside, Jones with more steals and similar power with more runs, fewer rbis, and Millar as more consistent.
How do you see Floyd as more valuable?
Also, based on my starters, does it change value of any players vis a vis my team?

Full-time starting role in Houston=great upside. I see 20 or so HRs, 80+ runs and RBIs and a decent average.

Millar seems to do that yearly, right? Why would I take a risk on the equal upside?

Floyd is healthy (for now) and in a much better lineup. And the man can hit. You could make an argument for Mench, though I am not a believer in his ability.

The others...please. Jones does nothing but hit 20/80 with 13 SBS in the OF with a 250-270 avg...a poor man's Lew Ford. What is so special about that? Mondesi is a total stiff that at best will give you one month of OK production before he does his usual act. Millar...consistent mediocrity at best. I reallly do not understand how you have such poor OF options unless this is a really deep league. As OFs go, that is the worst I have ever seen in a mixed league that is not 18 teams deep. Lane is unproven...and could be out of a job when Berkman gets back as teh whole Astoro OF/2b situation is fluid right now.

It's your choice, of course. But you asked what Lane's upside is, and I don't see those numbers as a risk - and I've also been a bit conservative - he could easily do better.
