the former big three. im scared out of my wits to draft any of them
zito- sucked last year, and now he has to be the ace
hudson-cant strike out ppl
mulder- bad 2nd half and walks alot of guys.
wat kind of stat line can i expect from these guys... and who will be the best?
personally i would only draft hudson. i expect to him to have an enormous year. i put him as a top 5 fantasy pitcher and i have him winning the cy young(i love what the atlanta pitching machine can do for him). i see 23 + wins, 2.75 era, 1.1 whip with a 7 k/9.

Regarding Hudson 23+ wins is a little extreme but I see 18-20 wins 2.90 era 1.1 whip with a marginal improvement in K's. Definitely worth drafting but I still see a huge difference in K's between him and almost all other front line starters which makes him in my opinion a great 2nd starter but not your ace. Still a great pickup.
I expect Mulder to bounce back somewhat but really I have no idea what he will do. There is not telling how he will fare and that makes him way too risky. I am steering clear no matter what.
Zito. Won't touch unless he drops to the end of the draft.

Id draft Huddy as a top 10-15 SP, but I dont expect more than 17 Ws, with poor Ks.
I wont draft the other two - Mulder's colapse scares me too much and Zito is just getting shelled on a regular basis - at this point you are drafting a name.
I too am enthralled with the idea of Tim Hudson going home( in the loosest sense, he's from MS) and working with Leo Mazzone in Hotlanta. Higher Ks with Ps batting, and lower whip too....my statline looks like this:
21Ws
2.65 ERA
1.07 WHIP
6.7 K/9
